With That Seed

BIBLE READING: 2 Samuel 22 – 24

TEXT : “And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes. He said, Bring them hither to me”. – Matthew 14 :17 – 18.

The seed of yours that you think is small can imagine depending on whom you handed it over to. Your needs may be massive just like the five thousand men and the four thousand men besides women and children who were famished and Jesus fed (Matt. 14 :21; 15 :38). But if you can commit it to the Lord Jesus, you will experience a great miracle. Whatever is committed into the hands of God prospers.

It is sure to multiply as the five loaves and two fishes which they gave to Jesus and He multiplied it feeding multitudes and still had surplus remaining. So with that seed, that dream of yours can be accomplished; put the seed into the hands of Jesus. Don’t despise it. Many things people prospered with were things others despised. Whatever you have at any point in time is the seed that would generate greater seed depending on your mindset and wisdom on how to utilize it.

From the statement of our anchor text, you can see that the disciples with the coordinating conjunction ‘but’ saw the five loaves and two fishes as small, but one good thing was that they mentioned that they had such quantity to Jesus. They didn’t keep it back or ignored it. And Jesus said, “Bring them hither to me” and with that, a great need was met. If you can open up to Jesus, committing that seed to Him, He will multiply it.

In 1 Kings 17; the widow of Zarephath declared what she had to Elijah and God changed her story with that.

Also in 2 Kings 4; if not that the wife of the late son of the prophet added “save a pot of oil” to Elisha, there would have been nothing to multiply. I pray for you, nor more lack in your life.

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, every form of lack in my life, die today.
