And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests, a holy nation [consecrated, set apart to the worship of God]….— Exodus 19:6 (AMPC)
Worry and worship are polar opposites, and we’d be so much happier if we learned to become worshipers instead of worriers. Worry creates an opportunity for the enemy to torment us, but worship (reverence and adoration of God) leads us into His presence, where we can always find peace, joy, and hope. God created us to worship Him, and I don’t believe we can overcome the pressures, stresses and temptations in our lives if we don’t become worshipers.
Don’t waste another day of your life worrying. Determine what your responsibility is and what it is not, and don’t try to take on anything that’s ultimately God’s responsibility. When we have a problem, we should do what we can do, and then trust Him to do what we cannot do. So give yourself and your worries to God, worship Him, and begin enjoying the abundant life He has for you.
Prayer Starter: Father, please help me trust You more today than I did yesterday. I know You didn’t create me to worry, but to worship. Thank You for helping me live this out! In Jesus’s Name, amen.
