Memorise: But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Psalms 22:

Bible Reading: Psalms 95:1-6

  1. O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
  2. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
  3. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
  4. In his hand are the deep laces of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
  5. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
  6. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

Bible Reading In One Year: Isaiah 27-28; Ephesians 5:1-33

MESSAGE:

Have you ever pondered on the difference between Saul and David? The major difference is that one knew how to worship God, while the other didn’t. It is even possible that David got away with many things because he could lose himself while worshiping God. David cared less who was watching when its time to worship God. He would roll on the floor and dance with his clothes falling off him. Little wonder Micah mocked him on one of such occasions when he danced vigorously before God. It’s also no wonder that he wrote many psalms and God called him a man after His heart.

God is always looking for those who can worship Him wholeheartedly and when He finds them, He grants all their requests. He takes special interest in their matter. So if you are still one of those who like to pose while the praise session is going on, you need to have a change of attitude. God cannot be bribed with material things. He does not eat the kind of food we eat, what He delights in is the praises of a true worshipper. Worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

Action Point:

Sing praises and dance to God for thirty minutes today.

Hymn: Let Us With A Gladsome Mind

  1. Let us with a gladsome mind
    Praise the Lord for He is kind;
    Chorus:
    For His mercies shall endure
    Ever faithful, ever sure.
  2. Let us sound His name abroad,
    For of gods He is the God;
  3. He, with aII-commanding might,
    Filled the new-made world with light;
  4. All things living He doth feed,
    His full hand supplies their need;
  5. He His chosen race did bless
    In the wasteful wilderness;
  6. He hath with a piteous eye
    Looked upon our misery;
  7. Let us with a gladsome mind
    Praise the Lord for he is kind
