Would You Be Ready?

by Greg Laurie on Sep 7, 2021 No one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows —Matthew 24:36Scripture:Matthew 24:36

Periodically, people come along who say they’ve cracked the code and know when Jesus is returning. They claim to know when the Rapture will take place.

However, Jesus said, “No one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows” (Matthew 24:36 NLT). So what this actually means is that no one knows the day or the hour.

But there’s a difference between the Rapture and the Second Coming. The Rapture, which could happen at any moment, is when Jesus returns for His people. The Second Coming, on the other hand, is when He returns with His people.

The Rapture will take place before the appearance of the Antichrist and the Tribulation. The Second Coming will take place at the end of the Tribulation, after the seven-year reign of the Antichrist and after the Battle of Armageddon.

So we know in sequence when the Second Coming will occur, but the Rapture could happen at any moment. Only God knows when that will be, and it will take place at the right moment. But it will happen, and it will be one of the greatest events in history.

I want to ask you: Will you be ready for that day?

Jesus said, “Two men will be working together in the field; one will be taken, the other left. Two women will be grinding flour at the mill; one will be taken, the other left” (Matthew 24:40–41 NLT). This tells us it’s a global event in which people are caught up to meet the Lord.

The Rapture could happen in our lifetime. It could happen today. If Christ were to come back now, would you be ready? Don’t miss the opportunity to get right with God.
