YIELD YOURSELF TO THE HAND OF THE LORD

1KINGS 18:46 (NKJV), 2KINGS 3:15, EZEKIEL 3:14

Then the hand of the LORD came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.*But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him. *So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.

One of the meanings of the term, ‘the hand of the Lord’ in the scriptures is the leading and operation of the Spirit of God. Therefore, one way to yield yourself to the hand of the Lord is to yield yourself to the leading and operations of the Spirit of God in your life.

In our first text above, when the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah, by the Spirit, he received strength and speed to outrun/overtake Ahab who had earlier left in a chariot (1Kings 18:44-45). In our second text above, as someone played the harp, the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah and he prophesied. In our third text above, Ezekiel said as the Spirit of God lifted him up, the hand of the Lord was strong upon him.

The more you are sensitive to the leading and operations of the Spirit, the more you will experience the manifestations of the hand of God in and through your life. God wants to lead you by His hand (Spirit) and use you to do great and mighty things in the lives of others. God also wants to lift you by His hand (Spirit). “Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God and He will exalt you in due time,” (1Pet.5:6). Pray under the influence of the Spirit (Eph.6:18) and let Him guide you in all areas of your life. Keep being filled with the Spirit (Eph.5:18) and keep yielding yourself to Him. Walk in the Spirit (Ga.5:16).

PRAYER:
I thank you Heavenly Father for the wonderful leading and operations of your Spirit in my life. I yield myself to your Spirit
