YIELD YOURSELF TO WHAT GOD IS DOING IN YOUR LIFE (2)

Philippians 2:13 (GNB, LB), John 6:28-29 (NKJV)

…God is always at work in you to make you willing and able to obey his own purpose. For God is at work within you, helping you want to obey him, and then helping you do what he wants.Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

God’s main work in your life is to form the nature of Christ in you. This is God’s most important and significant work in your life. God desires to reveal Christ not only to you or through you, but also in you. He desires to shape Christ in you. “But then something happened!” Apostle Paul said in Galatians 1:15-16a. For even before I was born, God chose me to be his and called me—what kindness and grace!—to reveal his Son within me so that I could go to the Gentiles and tell them about Jesus.

It is your destiny to be like Christ. God desires that you be conformed to the image of Christ (Rom. 8:29). He desires for you to mature into Christ in all things (Eph.4:15). This should be your top priority. This is the greatest good that all things can work together for in your life. God’s desire is for everything you go through to be an opportunity for more of Christ’s nature to form in you.

As you focus on the revelation of Christ, God by His Spirit, transforms you more and more into the image of Christ from glory to glory, (2Cor.3:18). It is only when you focus on what God says about you in Christ that you’ll be able to yield to the Holy Spirit and produce the fruit of the Spirit from your life.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, as I focus and fill myself with Christ’s revelation, please form more of Christ’s nature in me
