You are a Conveyor of God’s Peace

Matthew 10:12-13 And when ye come into an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

Romans 10:15 And how shall they preach except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Mark 4:39 And he arose and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

John 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

As a believer, God has not only empowered you to experience His peace in every area of your life, He has also empowered you to manifest His peace in the lives of others. Four major ways that you can cause the lives of others to experience the peace of God is via your prayers for them, your preaching of the gospel to them, your declaring God’s peace into their lives and situations and by walking in love towards them.

Your fervent and effectual prayers are making God’s power available to bring peace into the lives of others, James 5:16. When we preach the gospel and those that hear it believe and receive the unconditional love of God shown to us through Jesus Christ, they experience both peace with God and the peace of God. This is why God wants us to remain passionate about preaching the gospel, Eph. 6:15

In the same way that Jesus arose in the storm and to His disciples when He appeared to them, you can declare the pace of God into the lives of others and their situations. This will cause the peace of God to overshadow them. In the Amplified Bible, our first text above says, “if [the family living in] the house is worthy [welcoming you and your message], give it your [blessing of] peace [that is, a blessing of well-being and prosperity, the favor of God]. But if it is not worthy, take back your blessing of peace.” The Bible further admonishes us to follow peace with all men, Heb. 12:14. To do this, we must walk in love by humility, forgiving others and promoting unity Eph. 4:3. God commands His blessings upon a place where unity prevails, Psa. 133.
