YOU ARE A FOUNTAIN OF GOD’S GRACE

2Samuel 9:1, 1Peter 4:10, 2Corinthians 4:15

And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan’s sake? *As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. *Every believer has received grace gifts, so use them to serve one another as faithful stewards of the many-colored tapestry of God’s grace.*For all things are for your sakes that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

Please say this to yourself right now: “I am a fountain of God’s grace.” As you say it again, imagine a fountain and see the different dimensions of God’s grace splashing, pouring and spreading out of your life in all directions and into the life of others. Imagine people rejoicing and thanking God because of you and the grace of God that flows out of your life into their lives. You are channel of God’s grace blessings and not just a container. A container has limited amount of resources but a channel never lacks resources as long as the source has resources. That’s how God wants your life to be. You are blessed to be a blessing. As you continue to be a blessing to the lives of others, God will continue to increase His grace and blessings upon your life.

Our first text above is about how David went to the house of Saul after the death of Saul and Jonathan and he was looking for someone in that family to show kindness to because of the great love and kindness that Jonathan had shown him while Jonathan was alive. We are supposed to be daily looking out for opportunities to manifest God’s love and grace to others because of the abundant love and grace that God has shown us in Christ. In 1John 3:16 the Bible says hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. The grace that we have received from God is supposed to make us graceful unto others. It is supposed to make us act in such a way that will make people want to experience this grace for themselves. Use your gifts and abilities and put smiles on the faces of others. Pray for others and show them God’s love and favour. Preach the gospel to them. Touch lives and don’t leave them the same way that you met them.

Prayer Focus:
Declare and thank God for making you a fountain of His grace. Ask God to use you today as a channel of His blessing and grace to someone.
