YOU ARE A LIFE-GIVING SPIRIT (2)

1Corinthians 15:45-48 (NKJV)

…“The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly.

In our study yesterday, we saw how by our faith in Christ we have become life-giving spirits just like He is. Today we shall look at the implications of our being life-giving spirits just like Christ is.

As a life-giving spirit, you do not only have the life of God, the life of God overflows from you. The first/most important way the life of God flows from us is as we preach the Gospel. As people believe the Gospel and receive Christ, they receive the life of God. “He that has the Son has life and he that does not have the Son of God does not have life,” (1 John 5:12). Jesus also said, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life,” (John 6:63). As you speak the words of Jesus and speak to people like Jesus would speak to them, you give them hope and life.

In John 7:38-39 (LB), Jesus said, “….rivers of living water shall flow from the inmost being of anyone who believes in me.” (He was speaking of the Holy Spirit…).” A major way we spread the life of God to others is by manifesting the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit in their lives and situations. The resurrection power of the Spirit is at work in your life and it is overflowing from your life. Use it to touch lives and bring God’s life and power to dead and hopeless situations.

Faith Declaration:
The life of God overflows from me. As I preach the Gospel and manifest the Spirit, I give life to others.
