YOU ARE A SIGN AND A WONDER

Isaiah 8:18 (KJV, AMPC, NIV) Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts…Behold, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are signs and wonders [that are to take place] in Israel from the Lord of hosts, …Here am I, and the children the Lord has given me. We are signs and symbols in Israel from the Lord Almighty,…

In our text above, Isaiah was not just saying that both he and his children will experience signs and wonders in their lives. What he was saying is that God had programmed their entire lives to send a special message to people. The Living Bible says “I and the children God has given me have symbolic names that reveal the plans of the Lord of heaven’s armies for his people: Isaiah means “Jehovah will save (his people),” Shear-jashub means, “A remnant shall return,” and Maher-shalal-hash-baz means “Your enemies will soon be destroyed.”

Right from the names of Isaiah and his children, down to the things that happened in their lives, everything was divinely planned by God to send a powerful message about what God intended to do in the lives of His people. Beloved, through your life, God is going to show people what He wants to do in their lives. People will come to know and experience Christ because of the supernatural things happening in your life.

Psalms 71:7 says “I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.” The Passion Translation says “Many marvel at my success, but I know it is all because of you, my mighty protector!” People are going to marvel at how God prospers, preserves and singles you out by His supernatural glory and power over your life.

Prayer:
Father, I thank you for making me a sign and wonder because of Christ. My life will show people what you will do in their lives
