YOU ARE ALWAYS SURROUNDED BY GOD AND HIS FAVOUR

Psalms 125:1-2 (GNB), Psalms 5:12 (NIV), Psalms 3:3

Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which can never be shaken, never be moved. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people, now and forever. *Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield. *But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

As a child of God, the greatest thing that God uses to wrap and surround you is Himself. When you are conscious of this, you will never be moved or shaken by any situation or challenge that you face. Just like Elisha, it is good to be conscious that God’s mighty angels are always surrounding you (2Kings 6:16-17), but that is not enough. God wants you to receive Him as your shield. In The Passion Translation, our last
text above says, “But in the depths of my heart I truly know that you, Yahweh, have become my Shield; You take me and surround me with yourself. Your glory covers me continually. You lift high my head when I bow low in shame.”

David, who wrote this scripture was not even in Christ. What then should be the confession of you that is in Christ? In Christ, God has wrapped and embraced your life with His Life, His glory, His favour and with His great love. God has embraced you with all of Himself. Therefore, no matter what surrounds you in the physical or any other way, it will not harm you, for there is Someone else who surrounds you first and shields you always. Like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego that fire will not consume you. You will
come out of it unhurt, promoted and people will praise and serve God because of you, (Dan.3:16-30)

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I receive you as my shield in all areas of my life. Thank you for your life, love and glory that always surround me.
