“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” Ephesians 1:3 (NKJV)
Beloved, I have come your way today to let you know that because you are blessed, you can never lose. You are not cursed but blessed. God has blessed you with all spiritual blessings. By blessing, God means every blessing you can find in the scriptures because of Jesus. Often times when we are faced with challenges and difficulties, we tend to think that there must be something wrong with us. We look for all sorts of explanations and justifications to give meaning to our challenging situations because we cannot understand how someone can be blessed and at the same time faced with difficulties and contradictions.

However, our text makes it very clear that for everyone who is in Christ, you are blessed. The curse is not for you! Only the blessing is yours. The blessing is ours because of the price Jesus paid on our behalf. Therefore, as a believer, you can read through Deuteronomy 28 and just claim the blessings because that is the only thing that belongs to you.
The word blessed means empowered to succeed. In Genesis 26, we read the account of Isaac who sowed seeds during a period of famine and reaped a hundredfold because of the blessing that he carried. The blessing of the Lord was upon his life and so the ground and elements of creation had to produce for him. This is what the blessing does. In the same Genesis 26, the people tried to stop Isaac’s blessings by attacking what they assumed was the source. They went and stopped his wells and filled it with earth, but of course, that didn’t stop Isaac because the source of his blessings was not the wells, but God. Despite the disputes that ensued over the wells, he dug and at some point, the people gave up and left him alone. Isaac came out on top because God blessed him. Every believer in Christ is a blessed person.
