YOU ARE BORN OF THE SPIRIT

In furtherance of our understanding that we have a supernatural life in Christ, God wants us to deeply understand that we are born of His Spirit. When a child is born physically, the child does not know anything about his parents or how he was born and how he is to function. But as the child grows and begins to observe and gets taught, he knows better and understands that he can function just like his parents because he came from them or was born of them.

God gave birth to you by the agency of the Holy Spirit. You were born from the womb of God’s Spirit. This is why the Bible says you are a Spirit. You don’t just have a Spirit. You have a soul and a body, but you are a Spirit and you can live and function like God’s Spirit.

It was by the Holy Spirit God put you in Christ. “For by [means of the personal agency of] one [Holy] Spirit we were all, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free, baptized [and by baptism united together] into one body, and all made to drink of one [Holy] Spirit.” (1 Cor. 12:13, AMPC). The Bible goes further to show us that God,”……. saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He washed us away of our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit,”(Titus 3:5).

Prayer:
Father, I thank you that because you have given birth to me by your Spirit, I can now live and function like your Spirit.
