YOU ARE GOD’S BELOVED AND A MEMBER OF HIS HOUSEHOLD

John 1:12 (AMPC), 1John 3:1 (CEV), Ephesians 1:6 (NKJV) But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name *Think how much the Father loves us. He loves us so much that he lets us be called his children, as we truly are. But since the people of this world did not know who Christ is, they don’t know who we are. *to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

By your faith in Christ, you have now become God’s beloved and a member of God’s royal family. Do you really understand and appreciate the great value of what this means? Both 1Peter 1:3 and 1John 5:18 show us that God Himself has begotten us. The word begotten means to procreate or bear, as parents give birth to children. By your faith in Christ, God has now taken over your lineage and brought you into His lineage. He has given birth to you. You have been born again. You now carry the life of God in you. God loves you so much and He knows and calls you by name. You bring so much joy to His heart. God is always rejoicing over you (Zeph.3:17). You need to understand and personalize this loving relationship you have with God.

You now belong to the greatest and most powerful family in the universe. God Almighty is your Father and you are His dearly beloved child. You are very dear to His heart. You are as dear to God as Jesus is to Him. You can now call God Father, the same way Jesus calls God Father, (John 20:17). Jesus said God the Father loves you the same way He loves Him, (John 17:23). This is the greatest privilege any human being can ever have.

As a member of God’s Household, God takes responsibility for your life; much more than any earthly parent can ever do, (Matt.7:11, 1Tim.5:8). He protects you and provides abundantly for you. Always ask your loving Heavenly Father for whatever you need and trust in His love and provision. As a child of God, you must also express His life in you. Behave like God. In the Good News Bible, Ephesians 5:1 says, “Since you are God’s dear children, you must try to be like him.” The Passion Translation says, “Be imitators of God in everything you do, for then you will represent your Father as his beloved sons and daughters.”

Prayer:
I thank you Dear Heavenly Father, for the great privilege to be your beloved child. I trust in your love and provision. Please help me to express your life.
