YOU ARE GOD’S MODEL TO THE WORLD

Matthew 5:14-16 (LB), Ephesians 2:10 (NLT), Isaiah 60:1 (LB)

You are the world’s light-a city on a hill, glowing in the night for all to see. Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.Arise, my people! Let your light shine for all the nations to see! For the glory of the Lord is streaming from you.

The branches of a tree produce the leaves and fruit that tell people the kind of tree it is. As a branch of Christ (John 15:5), your works tell people who Christ is. Your works must reflect and represent God well. It was from the kind of works that Joseph did that Potiphar ‘saw’ or experienced that God was with Joseph. Joseph’s works were beyond what every other person around him was doing and everything he did was prospering. Potiphar responded to Joseph’s excellence by elevating Joseph and giving him more influence; to oversee his house and all that he had and God blessed Potiphar’s house and business because of Joseph, (Gen.39:3-5). From that position, Joseph could shine and influence more people positively.

During Pharaoh’s first encounter with Joseph, he knew that Joseph had the Spirit of God in him, (Gen.41:37-38). There was something different about Joseph. Joseph provided a value and solution that nobody else around him could provide. This shall be your testimony from now on. The light and glory of Christ shall reflect in all you do.

Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were ten times better than ALL the wise men of Babylon in all matters of wisdom and understanding, (Dan.1:20). I see God’s superior kind of excellence radiating from you to your environment, your nation and the world around you like never before. The excellence of God that will be manifested in your works will make people acknowledge, honour and promote you much more than Joseph experienced. Stop hiding your light. Shine your light for the world to see. Let the light of Christ be seen through you works and your character. Do everything you do the same way Christ will do it.

Faith Declaration:
I am God’s model to the world. The light of Christ in me is shining forth and radiating in all I do. The glory of God is seen in me.
