YOU ARE JUSTIFIED (2)

Colossians 1:21-22 (NLT)

This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

Justification is defined in some Bible translations as being made right with God. We could never have been reconciled to God on our own, so God sent Jesus to die and be raised for us in order for Him to reconcile us to Himself. One incredible aspect of our justification in Christ is that we could never have attained this level of righteousness or holiness by attempting to obey the Law. “Through him, everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you could not obtain under Moses’ law,” says the Bible (Acts 13:39, NIV). Because human righteousness is like filthy rags (Isa.64:6) we now have a new nature – God’s righteousness (2 Cor.5:21).

We have been forever perfected in the sight of God because of our faith in Christ and what He accomplished through His death, burial, and resurrection. According to Hebrews 10:10 and 14 (AMPC), “And in accordance with this will [of God], we have been made holy (consecrated and sanctified) through the offering made once for all of the body of Jesus Christ (the Anointed One). *For by a single offering He has forever completely cleansed and perfected those who are consecrated and made holy.” As stated in our text, you are holy, blameless, and without a single flaw before God right now. All God wants you to do is keep your faith in Jesus (Col.1:23).

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you that Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross has forever perfected me and made me holy in your eyes. (Col.1:23).
