“And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:”
Ephesians 2:6 KJV

All the blessings that your life requires had already been made available in Christ Jesus. It is your responsibility to begin to walk in them. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:5 -6 that even when we were dead in sins, He quickened us together with Christ, and He raised us together, and then made us to sit together. We are quickened, raised and then made to sit together with Him in Heavenly places in Christ so that we can see what is already done. And so that we can both appreciate and appropriate what is already done.

That is why we sit. How you sit determines how you receive. And how you sit determines how you appropriate what has been done. The promises of God are like a budget. The fact that a budget has been prepared does not mean you have appropriated it. The budget has to be appropriated. That is why at times in the Legislative House, they will say it has not been appropriated. It has to be appropriated. The House has to sit in order for the budget to be appropriated.

Likewise, God has made lots of promises to us but we are not appropriating them. We are not doing anything with them.  Rather, we are sitting down and being spiritual. Instead of appropriating it, we are praying, fasting, and sweating. I am not saying that praying and fasting are wrong. The point is that they ought to be an expression of your faith. And you must ensure that you are actually appropriating what Christ has already done.
