YOU ARE THE GLORY OF CHRIST

2Corinthians 8:23 (NKJV, TPT)

If anyone inquires about Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker concerning you. Or if our brethren are inquired about, they are messengers of the churches, the glory of Christ. *Concerning the credentials of Titus, he’s my partner and coworker in ministry for you. As for the brothers coming with him, they are apostles of the churches, which are the glory of the Anointed One. *

While referring to some brothers or fellow believers in Christ, Paul described them as the glory of Christ. Below are three reasons why he must have done this: Firstly, as a believer in Christ, you are one with Christ, (1Cor.6:17, 1John 4:17). This is why Jesus has sent you into the world, just as the Father sent Him, (John 17:18) and He said you will do the works that He did and even greater works (John 14:12).

Secondly, Jesus said He has given you His glory. In John 17:22a (NKJV), Jesus said, “And the glory which You gave Me I have given them…” The Good News Bible says, “I gave them the same glory you gave me…” Beloved, the same glory upon Christ is upon you.

Thirdly, 2Corinthians 3:18 (AMPC) says, “And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.” Just as you see yourself in a mirror, when you look into the mirror of God’s word, God wants you to see the glory of Christ because that is who you are. And as you continue doing this, the Holy Spirit keeps changing you into more of that glory of Christ that you see.

Prayer:
Father, I thank you for making me the glory of Christ. Please help me to keep seeing Christ and His glory as I study your word
