You Can Be Faithful

Proverbs 20:6(NKJV), Luke 12:42-43(NLT), Galatians 5:22-23a(LB)

Most men will proclaim each his own goodness, But who can find a faithful man? And the Lord replied, “A fruitful sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them. If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward. But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience ,kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Faithfulness is a major dimension of the fruit that God’s Spirit produces in our lives as we yield ourselves to Him. As a believer, you have God’s seed of faithfulness in you. You simply need to allow that seed to grow and manifest more and more. Faithfulness is the nature of God in us that enables us to demonstrate absolute loyalty and commitment- both to God and to the people we serve or remain connected to. Faithfulness makes us pour our whole being into whatever we are doing, avoiding eye service and compromise of any kind.

Although faithfulness is in high demand in our world today, sadly it is very scarce. It is often hard to find genuinely faithful people, even among believers. Faithful people are diligent and reliable people and God likes entrusting valuable things into their hands (2Tim.2:2). As you develop God’s seed of faithfulness in you, God will entrust great things into your hands. Faithful people do not fear whenever it is time to give account or it is time for their work to be checked. They know they will be found faithful. Daniel was so faithful that nothing could be held against him in his work(Dan.6:4). God expects us to display His own kind of faithfulness because we have His life in us. The Bible assures us that even when we are unfaithful, God remains faithful because He cannot deny Himself (2Tim.2:13). Don’t stop being faithful because people are unfaithful to you or around you. Don’t go against God’s life and nature in you. Keep your eyes on God. Do not be discouraged. Remain faithful in both good and trying times. Stay loyal and committed. Be faithful in your service and in the use of your gifts and abilities. Be faithful to your spouse.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the ability that you have given me to be loyal and committed at all times and in every area of my life.
