YOU HAVE AUTHORITY OVER THE DEVIL

Luke 10:19-20, Mark 16:17 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. *And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Beloved, no devil can stop you as you advance and march on in the fulfillment of God’s will and purpose for your life. Jesus has destroyed every power the devil had over you. “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil,” (Heb.2:14). Jesus has also disarmed principalities and powers and now He is their head, (Col.2:10 & 15). All power now belongs to Jesus and He has given you His power to represent Him as His ambassador.

The authority you have over the devil is not your own authority, it is the authority of Christ. Make use of it. When the devil comes to you with his lies or in any other way, do not be afraid of him. Don’t tolerate him and don’t ask God to cast him away. Cast him out of your way. Resist him and he will flee. Do not be afraid. “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD,” (Isa.54:17). Just as you have authority over the devil, you also have authority over sickness and all evil. You can command sickness and every other evil to flee and they will flee.

Prayer:

Father, I receive your grace to continually exercise that authority that Christ has given me over the devil and all evil.
