“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” Colossians 1:13 KJVJesus, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, and the root of David has gone into the Valley of sin to fight for mankind. He delivered man completely from the chains and shackles of sin. He broke the power of the devil and brought us into His Kingdom. In Him, we live and move and have our being. There can be no more defeat because our federal head has won. And the devil understands the principle. So, celebrate your victory! Anytime you read the promises of God in the Bible, your part is not to wonder how it will happen. Your part is to celebrate it. Mary said: “……..Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word……..” (Luke 1:38 KJV) That should be your attitude. She didn’t understand how she was going to be pregnant. But she chose to believe.Warfare is the battle of your mind. You are not called to fight the devil. We are called to enforce his defeat. He is a defeated foe! Remember what Jesus said: “…….. All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth”. (Matthew 28:18 KJV). In another place, He said: “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”. (John 16:33 KJV)Jesus had deprived the world of the power to hurt you. Therefore, be of good cheer! How can I be of good cheer? The knowledge that I have that He has overcome on my behalf. What will make me joyful when I am going through oppression? Because I already know how it will end. What will make you joyful when the doctor is bringing a wrong report? You know what has been accomplished on your behalf.
According to John 19:30: “It is finished”. (KJV) Jesus had finished everything. Your part is to sit down and enjoy the victory He has given to you.Further Reading. John 19:1-37
