YOU HAVE BEEN RESTORED TO DIVINE LIFE AND VICTORY

Isaiah 53:4-6, 10a

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. *… it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief:…

It is our faith in Christ’s death, burial and resurrection that causes us to experience God’s salvation and power, (Rom.10:9). Jesus allowed Himself to be oppressed on the cross, (1Pet.2:22-25) so that you and I can be liberated and given victory. The chastisement He went through as He suffered and died was the ultimate price for our redemption and restoration back to our place of intimacy with God and victory in Life. He took all the pain, trouble and shame that we deserved and gave us all the health, peace and grace that we did not deserve.

The glory of God that man fell short of as a result of Adam’s fall has been restored back to you and me by Christ. In a beautiful exchange, he took all of our shame in order to raise you and me unto glory, (Heb.2:10). Because of Christ, we can now experience God’s abundant life and victory again. With the life that Christ has given us, we now have the ability and authority to exercise dominion over all the consequences of the fall of man, (Rom.5:17). We can even exercise this power of life on behalf of others. There is no sin, devil or evil that has power over us anymore.

Romans 14:9 says, “for to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.” By Christ’s death, He became Lord of the dead and the living and all who believe in Him will enjoy His Lordship and victory over their lives. Since Christ is now Lord of your spirit, soul and body, only His will is permitted to prevail in every area of your life.

Prayer Focus:
Thank God that by the suffering and death of Christ, you have been restored to divine life and victory in all areas of your life.
