YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE TO BE SAVED

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 (KJV)

The only person Jesus cannot help is the person who refuses to believe. That is the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. The blasphemy of unbelief.

The blasphemy of the Holy Spirit can neither be forgiven in this world nor in the world to come because Jesus says I am your saviour and you say you don’t believe in Him. What do you want Him to do? Save you by force? You have to believe to be saved. The blank cheque has been given. The whole world is technically saved but the reality is that it is for those who have believed.
“If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark 9:23 KJV). What are the things? The things that have been threatening your life. The things that have been harassing you. The things that have been giving you sleepless nights. What are the things? The things you have been weeping over that no one knows about. The things you are facing in your business, in your career, in your finance and your health. All things are possible to him that believes.
You don’t just believe in the air without any foundation. “… Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17KJV).

That is why it is important to study the scriptures. That is why you can’t afford to be somebody just interested in, “receive it.” You need information. You need revelation! You need to know what belongs to you. You need to know what price has been paid on your behalf. You need to know the promises that God has made for you. You need to know where you stand in God. You need to know without any shadow of a doubt what you can do, what you have and where you are in Christ. You need to go into the epistles and find out the benefits of .the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. That is why you can’t afford to throw your bible on the shelve when you return from the church. Don’t throw away the notes that you took in church. Read them. All these will help your faith to grow and become effective.
