You Have What It Takes

BIBLE READING: 2 Chronicles 7-9

TEXT: “And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?”. – Judges 6 :14.

Rhema for Living 13 May 2022 Devotional MESSAGE

All Gideon said to the angel of the LORD right from when he appeared to him was what has been in his mind all the while the adversary had been taking advantage of them. To him the God that did miracles which his father’s m told him about has forsaken them. To him, he was least in his father’s house and his family is poor in Manasseh, hence he cannot be considered to save his people.

He was beclouded by the physical happenings and never saw what he has inside of him to correct the circumstance against them. No wonder the angel of the LORD spoke the words of our text to him to let him know that that thing he had inside of him which he said was little strength could conquer what he was seeing against them.

Child of God, the same command is coming to you: “Go in this thy might” and you will overcome that problem. You have what it takes; for greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world (1 John 4 :4) God cannot permit a challenge that will swallow you. Whatever comes your way is under you in the realm of the Spirit if only you can operate with open eyes.

The one that sent you is with you. You are not alone ( Isa. 43 :1 – 2 ) so you cannot be consumed. God emphasized this truth to Gideon saying again, “Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man” Judges 6 :16.

Never make common your ability because of the threatening looks of the opposition.
That was the doom of the ten spies out of the twelve Moses sent, which came with negative opinions of themselves and high opinion of the enemies thereby inflicting fear on the people, ( Num. 13 & 14).

And as they saw themselves that was how they died in the wilderness.

I pray for you, you will not be an enemy of yourself.
