YOU INCREASE BY THE WORD OF GOD
Isaiah 55:10-11 (GNB), Acts 20:2 (TPT)”My word is like the snow and the rain that come down from the sky to water the earth. They make the crops grow and provide seed for planting and food to eat. So also will be the word that I speak—it will not fail to do what I plan for it; it will do everything I send it to do. *“And so now, I entrust you into God’s hands and the message of his grace, which is all that you need to become strong. All of God’s blessings are imparted through the message of his grace, which he provides as the spiritual inheritance given to all of his holy ones.
The rain is a major phenomenon that God has put in place to nourish plants and make them grow. Just as the rain nourishes plants and makes them grow, this year God’s word will continue to nourish your life and make you grow. Deuteronomy 32:1-2 (GNB) declares, “Earth and sky, hear my words, listen closely to what I say. My teaching will fall like drops of rain and form on the earth like dew. My words will fall like showers on young plants, like gentle rain on tender grass.” This year, you will never lack fresh revelations and nourishment from the word of God. The word of God will make your life more fruitful and productive than ever before.
Our life comes from God’s word and our reality is determined by His word. We are born of God’s word, (1Pet.1:23) and we live by His word (Matt.4:4). As we hunger and thirst for God’s word and we align ourselves with it, it will cause our lives to grow and conform to God’s will. I pray for you that this year, you will be deliberate about locating and giving yourself to God’s word that will make you grow and increase in every area of your life. “Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts,” (Jer.15:16). I also pray that you will delight in or be excited about God’s word. That is the only way God’s word can enter you and have full effect in your life, (Psa.1:2-3).
The word of God that nourishes and brings increase into our lives is the word of God’s grace or the revelation of Christ. This is the source of our faith (Rom.10:15-17). Let the revelation of Christ dwell in you richly, (Col.3:16).
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to increase in my desire for your word. I thank you for the great increase your word brings into my life this year.
