YOU NEED PATIENCE

“And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?”Mark 4:38 (KJV)What is patience? Patience is being consistently constant. It means having joy in the midst of challenges because you know that your final expectation will happen. Patience is persistently holding onto the Word. You may be crying and blowing your nose, but you are still holding unto the promise. People may be laughing at you and everything seems to be working against you, but you are still holding on, knowing that the Word will come through for you.Patience means developing backbone. You are not a jelly fish. You develop backbone by taking on challenges. You refuse to run helter-skelter. Rather, you are calm and composed because you know how it will turn out. It is already settled, and it will turn out for your good.Patience also means to have a lion’s heart. So, you are relaxed even when the bombardment is going on. For someone to be able to pass through an experience and be calm, you must know something which others don’t know.In the book of Mark 4:35, Jesus Christ told His disciples: “Let us pass over unto the other side”(KJV). And as they took on that journey, suddenly there arose a storm against them. The disciples began to bail out the water, running helter-skelter. What was Jesus doing? He was sleeping. That very moment, the force of patience is being released. He knew the storm was wasting its time and that they would get to their destination. That is why He was relaxed and sleeping. He was not developing hypertension or wondering what to do. Patience doesn’t function that way. Patience is not about enduring the problem. No! Patience stands on a solid rock.Beloved, don’t ever accept that you don’t have any choice than to endure the situation. No! You actually have a choice and that is to be patient because you have the victory already ahead of you. I declare that your breakthrough will manifest.Further Reading: Mark 4:35-41, Luke 8:22-25Daily Bible Reading: Morning- Isaiah 23-25; Evening- Philippians 1
