“And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”   Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV)
In this scripture, there are three categories of people. The Visionary, The Reader and The Runner. The visionary is someone who gets the vision and he has to write it. The scripture says make it plain upon tables that he may run that reads it. The readers are the people who will interpret the vision. If the vision is not plain the interpretation will be faulty and then the runner will run wrongly. If the reader interpolates and reads what he wants into your vision. Then the runner will run to the north when he is supposed to run to the south. Let me bring it home, why do I need to go to God? The book of James 4:8: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (KJV). This statement doesn’t mean God is sitting down and waiting for you until you come closer enough so that He will bless you.

No! The way it works is that when you take one step towards God, He will take His own step toward you and very soon both of you will come close. What does it mean? God is there but I may not be drawing close to him. This leads to blurred vision or no vision. So, God is building your business but you are seeing wrongly. He is building your family and marital life, but you are too far away to see very well because what you see from afar will be interpreted wrongly. Consequently, when you want to run, you will run in the wrong direction. What you are able to see when you are close to Him will be better than what you see when you are far away. That is why you need to be close to Him. I challenge you today to decide to draw close to Him so that you will see clearly all that He is working out in your life and be able to run in the right direction. Further Reading: Matthew 11:27-28, 1Peter 5:6-7Daily Bible Reading: Morning- Deuteronomy 25-27; Evening- Mark 14:27-53
