YOU NEED UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT JESUS DID

“And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God.” Hebrews 10:11-12 KJV

Jesus died to ensure we are free from three things, namely:

  1. The imputation of sin! No matter what, sin cannot be imputed on you any longer.  This is because sin was imputed on Jesus.
  2. To remove from us the penalty and punishment for sin. Jesus died once for all to achieve this. That means, you cannot be punished by God for sin any longer.
  3. To remove from us guilt and condemnation of sin. You are free from guilt and condemnation. Until you are free from these things, you will not do right.

It is the understanding that you have been delivered from these things that will give you the power to do right. In Mark 2:1-11, the man who was sick of palsy was lowered from the ceiling so that Jesus might minister to him. Ever before Jesus healed him, He said to him: “…thy sin be forgiven thee” (Mark 2:5 KJV). The man must have been thinking that it was his sin that brought the situation. So, Jesus first offered him the gift of no condemnation; then he was ready to receive a miracle. As soon as he received forgiveness, it was easy to tell him, “rise up, take up your bed and walk.” No more struggles. As long as the man reasoned that it was his sins that kept him in that situation, he wouldn’t be able to get up. Condemnation would have nailed him.

Beloved, what is it that is condemning you today, telling you that you can never be successful? What is it that is telling you that you can never be married, that you can never have a child because you have damaged your womb or that you have a low sperm count? Those are the devil’s lies. Hold your peace because your sins have been completely forgiven. Grace will speak for you!
