YOUR AMEN IS POWERFUL

“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV)In my many years of ministry, I have found out that a lot of people don’t understand the full import of the “Amen” power. Many don’t know what really happens when they say Amen. The word Amen appeared 73 times in the Bible. 22 times in the Old Testament and 53 in the New Testament. But more or less, it has become a religious cliché to many Christians. It has become a ritual – what we say at the end of a prayer or just to affirm something with one another. If the Bible has that number of Amen in the book, then it is very important that we understand what happens when we say Amen. When you say Amen, you are saying it is true that God is faithful to fulfil what He said. You are saying that it is certain that it will happen. You are saying that you are sure. You are saying so be it!2 Corinthians 1:17-19 says: “When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay? 18 But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay. 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. (KJV)Every promise of God in Christ is Amen. The Lord has already said Amen. In other words, whatever your need is, heaven has already said Amen. You are not waiting for heaven to say. No! Heaven has already said yes.You have to say Amen to that need, whatever it is. Heaven has already spoken; you just need to speak in agreement – that is your Amen. Stand in agreement with the word of God and it will come to pass in your life in Jesus’ name.Further Scripture: 2 Corinthians 1:15-20, Revelation 1:4-7Daily Bible Reading: Morning- Isaiah 53-55; Evening- 2 Thessalonians 1
