YOUR FOCUS MUST BE ON THE LORD

‘’They looked unto him and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.’’ Psalm 34:5 KJV

You must learn to make your boast in the Lord. One of the things you must make a part of your life in this decade we are in is to always delight yourself in the Lord: “…for the joy of the LORD is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10 KJV). The Bible doesn’t say the joy of your credential or your qualification is your strength. It doesn’t say the joy of your connection is your strength. But when you joy in Him and celebrate Him, you will go from strength to strength. We are called into a relationship with God. So just enjoy God and other things will be added.

When I look at the overwhelming challenges around me, I know there is no earthly way I can solve them if God does not help me. So, I choose not to look at the challenges. I choose to look up, and He has always come through. Beloved, our eyes must be focused on Him. You can never be disappointed when you look up to Him. God is “our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1 KJV). The God we serve is a “pre-sent help”- the help is already sent. The help was already waiting for us ever before the problem came.

Do you think the Lord enjoys seeing you defeated? No! Every time you win, heaven celebrates because that is the whole essence of why Christ died. God wants you to stand out in the midst of challenges. But you cannot achieve that in your ability. Hence, Christ came. The onus is now on you to focus on Him. The Psalmist says: “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1-2 KJV).

In Christ, there is no place for shame. Whatever has caused you shame and embarrassment is coming to an end. Your life will constantly radiate the glory of God.
