Your most important need in every situation

Romans 10:6-9 (NIV)

… “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) “or ‘Who will descend into the deep?’”(that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”…If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

As a believer in Christ, no matter the situation you find yourself in, your most important need is not ‘who’ will help you. There is nothing wrong with getting help from people, but this should not be what comes to your mind first. Your most important need is not even for Christ to come down to save you or for Christ to rise from the dead and manifest His resurrection power in your life.

Your most important need in every situation is the word of God and the word of God is always near you or available to you. God is one with His word and everything was made by the word of God, (John 1:1 & 3). By having the word of God, you have God in that situation. With the word of God, you can create or bring into existence whatever needs to be created or brought into existence in any situation. You can recreate that situation or frame it just as God framed the world by His word, (Heb.11:3). This is why Jesus said the one needful thing is to receive His word, like Mary did in Luke 10:38-42.

Open your mouth and declare God’s word till there is a peace and assurance in your heart about your victory in that situation. Pray in line with God’s word. By the word of God, you will know what to do and everything you need will be created, activated or manifested.

Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank you that as I declare your word over my life and situation, I shall experience your glory, power and favour.
