Your Progress is Unstoppable

Exodus 1:7-12
And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them. Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.
And he said unto his people, …Come on, let us deal … with them …Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. … But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.

To the natural mind, what our text above says about the children of Israel does not make sense or seem plausible. How is it possible that the more they were afflicted, the more they multiplied and grew? Beloved, that is the same way people will struggle to believe or understand your testimony. The very thing that was intended deter you will serve as the catalyst to propel you upward and accelerate you even further. That is the kind of grace and favour of God that is upon your life in Christ.

If you don’t know this, you will allow your difficulties and challenges to weigh you down and to negatively affect you. Being maltreated and betrayed by his brothers and enslaved in a strange land was bad enough, but even in those circumstances, Joseph emerged a leader. His progress could not be stopped. In Egypt, he was lied upon and sent to prison. Had this been some other people, they may have already concluded that they are caused or have bad luck working against them. However, even in prison, Joseph rose to be the head. His progress was unstoppable. The person he helped by interpreting his dream in prison forgot his good deed but at the right time, Pharaoh had a dream and that ultimately brought Joseph to remembrance. God was orchestrating everything to prepare and position Joseph to fulfil his purpose.

God will restrain the hand of the devil in the same way he did during Job’s trials (Job 1:12 & 2:6). God will not allow you to face anything that you cannot handle (1Cor.10:13). Stop concluding that something must be wrong with you. Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him from them ALL (Psa.34:19). God will not only deliver you, but He will also promote you (Psa.91:14-15).

Faith Declaration:
My progress is unstoppable. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. My challenges are causing me to progress even faster.
