YOUR SALVATION IS A GIFT
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:” Colossians 1:14 (KJV)Sin still has wages. But because of the price that Jesus Christ paid on our behalf as Children of God through his death, burial and resurrection, we have become his children. As His children, we have eternal life. As His children, we have been redeemed from the curse of the law, and part of it is sin.Our redemption is a gift of God. The bible tells us in Romans 6:23: “…. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord “(KJV). In other words, we never paid for it. It a gift that God gave to us because of what Jesus did. The gift of God is eternal life. That is God’s own kind of life. And that’s what you received the day you made Jesus the Lord and Saviour of your life.According to John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 1:7 that in him “….. we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace (KJV)Redemption is the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace in Him, we have it. “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)Our sins have been forgiven. Sins have been forgiven over 2000 years ago ever before you were born. Jesus Christ came and ensured that every sin in our lives-past, present and future-have been dealt with. He died while we were still in our sins. While we were yet dead in sin, he paid for the sins of the world.“And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses” (Colossians 2:13) All your sins have been forgiven. Everyone of them! It is the gift of God. Your part is to receive it.Further Reading: Hebrew 10:1-23Daily Bible Reading: Morning- Micah 1-3; Evening- Revelation 11
