“I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.” Isaiah 43:25 KJV
One of the greatest disasters that we suffer as a result of the fall of man and which, unless it is dealt with once and for all, would affect whatever we receive from God is sin consciousness, which the devil planted into us. We are more sin conscious than the good things that God has already made available to us through the blood. If the sins committed by my great grandfathers are still haunting me, then Jesus did a poor job of redemption. Then, there is no point trying because we failed even before we started. Once the devil plants such mentality in you, you can never be bold. You will always be living in condemnation.
The devil knows that as long as you keep remembering your mistakes and failures, you would not be able to resist him. The Bible text above says God Himself has blotted out your transgressions for His name’s sake and that He does not remember them again.
The book of Jeremiah 31:34 says “And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sins no more.” In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. (Ephesians 1:7) In other words, our sins have been forgiven according to the riches of His grace.
We are forgiven because of the blood. All records were wiped out. His blood removed the sins of the entire world. When He looks at you, He sees you covered up with the blood of Jesus.
There are three people who remind you of your sins: the devil, you and the people around you. Knowing that you have been completely forgiven destroys the power of sin over your life.
