“Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.’”
2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
I am glad for every one that has received Christ into his life. If you have received Christ, then you are in Christ. And it is important that you understand your standing in Christ. The phrase “In Christ” is something you will never see before the resurrection. It is a post resurrection statement. The phrase: “In Christ” is powerful. If Christians can understand their position in Christ, they will fear nothing. There is nothing to fear in Christ. Absolutely nothing! You will walk in victory on a daily basis if you truly become aware of who you are in Christ. You can frame your day on a daily basis. You can command your day the way you want it to be on a daily basis; and you don’t go to bed dejected. You can go to bed knowing that all things work together for your good.
Beloved, all things do not work together for good for everyone. All things only work together for good for those who are in Christ. So, if you are outside Christ, you are on sinking sand. Those who are not in Christ are without God and without hope in this world. Outside Christ, there is no life.
The other day someone said; “Brother Mike, you see, Jesus is not the only way. Mohammed said he’s the way. Confucian said he‘s the way, Buddha said he’s the way” I said to him, “you have got it wrong”. Jesus did not say ‘I am one of the ways.’ All these people said they had a way, they could show you the way. Jesus does not show you the way, He said: “I am the Way, the truth and the life”. Beside Him, you do not have a way! Jesus is the only One who qualifies to say “I am the Way, I am the truth and I am the life”. The greatest thing that can happen to any man on the surface of this earth is to have an assurance that he is in Christ.
