YOU’RE AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE BODY OF CHRIST

Romans 12:4-6a (TPT)

In the human body there are many parts and organs, each with a unique function. And so it is in the body of Christ. For though we are many, we’ve all been mingled into one body in Christ. This means that we are all vitally joined to one another, with each contributing to the others. God’s marvelous grace imparts to each one of us varying gifts and ministries that are uniquely ours….

None of us can fulfill God’s purpose for our lives alone. We all need each other. We are a Body. If one part of your body is down and unable to serve its function, your whole body will not be complete and comfortable. In the same way, if for any reason you are down and you are not playing your part as a member of the Body of Christ, the Body of Christ cannot be complete, (Eph.4:16). Never despise yourself. That your little contribution is going a very long way in blessing somebody’s life. Don’t stop doing that thing that you know God has called you to do. Never allow anything to make you say you are not part of the Body.

The fact that a part of your physical body is not seen does not mean it is not important. We actually value the weak and private parts of our body more, (1 Cor.12:22-24). God does not reward position. He rewards faithfulness. Don’t allow a lack of appreciation or recognition from men to discourage you. Do not allow hurts and offenses to make you disconnect yourself from playing your part in the Body of Christ. Keep your eyes on He who has called you and chosen you. He who has called you is faithful and He will do it, (1Thes.5:24). He will fulfill His word in your life. Your reward is with Him, (Rev.22:12). Never feel like you are not important. You are important and you are needed. You are important in God’s plan.

Prayer:
Father, I thank you for making me an important part of the Body of Christ. Help me to keep playing my role faithfully.
