Daily Devotional: 20th June “MEN OF UNDERSTANDING”

READ: Proverbs 4:5-9

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding” – Proverbs 4:7

Jesus was a man of understanding and He saved the whole world.

…And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; Isaiah 11:2

Solomon was a man of understanding and became the richest man in the world.

And GOD GAVE SOLOMON WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. 1 Kings 4:29

Hiram was a man of understanding and helped to build the temple of God. And king Solomon sent and fetched HIRAM OUT OF TYRE. …and HE WAS FILLED WITH WISDOM, AND UNDERSTANDING, and cunning to work all works in brass. … 1 Kings 7:13-14

The children of Issachar were men that had understanding and knew what to do. And of THE CHILDREN OF ISSACHAR, which WERE MEN THAT HAD UNDERSTANDING of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; …. 1 Chronicles 12:32

Daniel was a man of understanding and became a national hero.

There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and UNDERSTANDING and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; … Daniel 5:11
