“The LORD said unto my Lord, sit thou at my right hand until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies” Psalm 110:1-2 KJV
One of the privileges of the believer as a result of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, is that you have been empowered to rule in the midst of your enemies. To rule means to be in control or to take charge. Always say to yourself, ‘I am in charge!’ Sometimes, you may feel intimidated to say it because your present situation may not agree with the realities of your new birth. However, that does not change the truth. Therefore, you must keep saying it until you see the manifestation. Every time you declare it, you are reminding yourself of who you really are and your words carry power. Pretty soon, your situation will respond to the Word of God.
Psalm 66:3 declares “Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.” 1 Corinthians 4:20 says that the Kingdom of God is in power. This speaks of the demonstration of power. Therefore, you can’t afford to not remind yourself of the awesome power that is at your disposal.
In Acts 1:8, the Bible also says: “And ye shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon you.” If you have received the Holy Ghost, then you have power. That verse went further to say, “…and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” This means that the proof that you have received power is that you become a witness.
On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Ghost came upon them. From that day forward, they received empowerment to rule and they turned their world upside down. You too can take charge in the midst of your challenges, because you have been empowered to rule.
