“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints”Ephesians 1:17-18 KJV
If there is one prayer that the Church needs to pray in this dispensation, it is “Lord, open my eyes”. This is because for many believers today, all we need is for our eyes to be opened to see the resources which God has made available to us. God has not left us without adequate provision. But the fact remains that a lot of people are not seeing them. Many times, we pray wrongly! So, we need our eyes to be opened! When your eyes are opened, you will understand how rich, how robust and how glorious the inheritance which Christ purchased on our behalf is.
Apostle Paul went further in verses 19 and 20 “…And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He wrought in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places.”
Beloved, Jesus died to ensure that certain things which accrued to you are given to you. You could not get it, but He died to get it for you. The truth is that if you don’t know what belongs to you in redemption, you would not even know when the devil has stolen from you. Jesus says in John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: but I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly”. There are lots of believers who are always in church, but they don’t even know what the devil has stolen from them, because they don’t know what belongs to them. Choose to be different and ask God to open your eyes.
