IN CHRIST: YOU HAVE BEEN JUSTIFIED

“Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” Romans 4:25 (KJV)

Where would we have been without Jesus? If Jesus hadn’t decided to become man so that we could receive eternal redemption, where would we be? Jesus is God with us, and He is God in our hearts. We should always acknowledge His Lordship and always bless Him.

Jesus knew no sin! And He did not sin! It was for our sins that He was delivered. For us, He suffered, because God must be judiciously satisfied without the devil pointing an accusing finger at Him and saying you are unjust. He took our sins upon Himself on the cross so that we can be made righteous. He became a sin for us, and we became righteous.

Now we have peace with God. There is no longer anything like I don’t know whether God is happy with me or not. He is happy with you always. And it happened because of what Jesus did.

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:1-2 (KJV).

Under the Old Testament dispensation, you can only be justified by works. In other words, you must meet God’s standards. Otherwise, no salvation for you. But no one can meet the standard. “For by the merit of observing the law, no one earns the status of being declared righteous before God, for it is the law that fully exposes and unmasks the reality of sin.” Romans 3:20 (TPT). But in Christ, “…through his powerful declaration of acquittal, God freely gives away his righteousness. His gift of love and favour now cascades over us, all because Jesus, the Anointed One, has liberated us from the guilt, punishment, and power of sin!” Romans 3:24 (TPT).

Now all who believe in Jesus receive the gift of righteousness. It is not earned. It is not merited. It is not deserved because you did not work for it.
