INTRODUCTION:
The world we live in is filled with evil an inexplicable problems which science has no power to proffer solutions to, which demands
supernatural intervention from God.
Some people turn to satan through his agents, co m m it abominable heathen practices; thereby
compounding issues. God detests these. (Isaiah 8:19, Deut. 18:10-13).

From this study, we shall understand that the Almighty God still rules in the affairs of men.
According to Scriptures, Christ Jesus has the power to destroy all the works of the devil.(1John.3:8b)

BIBLE TRUTH
Q.1 WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO FOCUS ON CHRIST FOR SUPERNATURAL
HELP? Psalm.121:1-2.
As long as we live in this world, we face challenges of different kinds which are caused by satan and his cohorts.
Believers are not exempted from the troubles of life, but they have the all-knowing and all-powerful God who has promised to take them through
the ‘thick and thin of life.
To focus on Christ therefore, means to trust in Him who has passed through all the hurdles of life and triumphed over them.

Q.2. WHEN D0 BELIEVERS NEED
SUPERNATURALHELP ?
At all times. The daily work/walk of a believer with God needs supernatural help. Proverbs 3:5-6 declares, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding, In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” Psalm.60:11.

Q.3. IDENTIFY INSTANCES AND SOME FORMS. OF SUPERNATURAL HELP:
I. In Josh. 10:12-14; Joshua implured the LORD and commanded that the sun and the moon should stand still until Israel had congquered their
enemies. In His Sovereignty, the LORD honoured the voice (prayer) of a man (Joshua)

ii. In Dan. 2:1-7; 17-19; Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon had a dream that troubled him (yet he forgot) and commanded with threats that all the wise men, the Chaldeans.
Magicians, Astrologers and the
Sorcerers (including Daniel and
his partners) should make
known his dreams and show the,
interpretation or else they will be killed. Then Daniel and his men prayed; God showed them the dream and its interpretation; thus, saving
their lives. It is obvious that every
believer has experienced God’s
supernatural help at one time
or the other. Sicknesses and diseases have been cured, barrenness, joblessness, financial breakthrough have been experienced. When our
focus is on Christ, we will always receive supernatural help.

iii. The Scriptures in Luke 5:1-6 shows us that when man reaches his limit and is discouraged, God’s
Supernatural help brings about
breakthrough.

iv. Another instance is found in Luke 8:43-48, where we see the woman with the issue of blood, who had
exhausted all avenues to be healed until her encounter with the Lord Jesus brought her supernatural help.

Q4.WHAT ARE THE DANGERS OF NOT SEEKING SUPERNATURAL HELP?
Psalm 124:1-5; Prov. 14:12.
1.Not seeking supernatural help brings a barrier between such a person and God.

2.Being doubtful, the believer will not be able to trust the God of all possibilities.

3.It reduces the efticacy of God’s power in and around such believer. (Matt. 1 3:58)

4.God will not be pleased with such believer. (Heb. l1:6)

5.The believer may be exposed to the torture and destruction of the enemy, and if unrepentant may end up in hell.

Q.5. DISCUSS SOME WAYS A BELIEVER CAN EXPERIENCE
SUPERNATURAL HELP:
A. Living a consecrated life.
Job 1:1-3: A totally surrendered life unto the Lord Jesus experiences daily
intimacy with the Trinity which makes the voice of God more clear and gives better understanding of God’s will.

B. Pravers. Phil. 4:6: The beauty of prayer is that every believer should pray. The possibilities of prayer run
parallel with the promises of God. When afflictions, difficulties, troubles etc, come our ways like a storm, we have the responsibility to pray backed up with supplication and thanksgiving.

C. Worship: 2Chro. 20:20-22:
Worship strengthens ones faith, enhances closer walk with God and increases spiritual growth.
When believers form the habit of true
worship, burdens are lifted, souls are liberated, answers come and enemies are conquered.

D. The word of God. Psalm 119:105; 1:2-3; 2Pet. 1:3, 4.
The word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Heb. 4:12) .
Adequate knowledge and proper application of God’s word attract supernatural help.
E. The Holy Spirit. Rom.8:26; Jn 14:16-17. The Holy Spirit enables the individual to experience supernatural help.He directs, empowers, and
comforts the believer.
F. Class to mention others.

DALLY LIVING APPLICATION:
As long as we live e i in this s world,
we faace challenges of life. The
believer has no need to fear in this present circumstance but rather focus on Christ for Supernatural help. He is our God. He promises to
strengthen, help and uphold His own.

Psalm 121:1-2:
“I will lift up my eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help; my help cometh from the Lord who made heaven and earth”.
