OUT OF YOUR BELLY

John 7:37-39 (LB)

On the last day…of the holidays, Jesus shouted … “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water shall flow from the inmost being of anyone who believes in me.” (He was speaking of the Holy Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him; but the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet returned to his glory in heaven.)

When you think about the miraculous power of God, don’t only be conscious of how you will experience it in your life; always be conscious of how it will flow out of you to touch and bless others.

You are a divine channel for the flow of God’s Spirit and miraculous power. You have been anointed by the same Spirit by which God anointed Jesus to do exploits, (Acts 10:28, Acts 1:8). Galatians 3:13-14 says as Christ died on the cross, He became a curse for us so that the blessing of Abraham can come upon us and we will receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Jesus said the reason we will do the works He did and greater works is because He goes to the Father, (John 14:12). He also said if He does not go, the Holy Spirit will not come to us, (John 16:7). How then did Jesus go? By dying on the cross for us. Because He died, was buried and rose again, we have received the Holy Spirit and we can do the works of Jesus and greater works.

Do you remember how people experienced God’s healing power by touching the hem of Jesus’ garment? (Mar 5:25-29, Mark 6:53-56). Now, the Bible says we are the flesh and bones of Jesus, (Eph.5:30). If the hem of Jesus’ garment can transmit His virtue/healing power, what do you think that we who are His flesh and bones will do?

Faith Declaration:
Out of my belly flows rivers of living water. I am a divine channel for the flow of God’s glory and the power of His Spirit.
