WHAT IS YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST?

PSALMS 1:1-3 (TPT) What delight comes to the one who follows God’s ways! …His pleasure and passion is remaining true to the Word of “I Am,” meditating day and night in the true revelation of light. He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of his life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous.

Right now, the Law is no longer what God wants us to meditate on. God wants us to hear and focus on Christ (the Gospel); not Moses or Elijah, (Matt.17:5). Every blessing the Bible says we have from meditating on the Law, is now ours as we meditate on the revelation of Christ. The Gospel of Christ is not ordinary. It is not like the Law or any other information or knowledge out there. The Gospel of Christ is more glorious and powerful than many believers realize, (John 6:63, Heb. 4:12). This is why compared to the knowledge of Christ, Paul counted everything else as dung, (Phil.3:8). This is why he declared that the Gospel of Christ is the power of God by which we experience God’s saving power, (Rom.1:16). The Gospel of Christ is as powerful and can have the same effect as the physical presence of Jesus, (Rom.10:6-9).

Many times, the problem is we are not just giving the Gospel as much focus and attention as we ought to. 1 Corinthians 15:1-2 shows it is not enough that have heard the Gospel; we have to keep the Gospel in our memory. The Good News Bible says we must hold firmly to the Gospel. Faith doesn’t just come by what we heard, but by what we are hearing, (Rom.10:17). We have to keep hearing the Gospel. Your attitude towards the Gospel will determine the impact and effect the Gospel will have in your life.

PRAYER:

HEAVENLY FATHER, PLEASE HELP ME TO IMPROVE IN MY FOCUS AND ATTENTION ON YOUR WORD – THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST.
