  THE CIRCUMCISED HEART

Key Verse: Philippians 3:2-3 (NLT), -Whatever happens, … rejoice in the Lord. Watch out for those dogs, those people who do evil, those mutilators who say you must be circumcised to be saved. For we who worship by the Spirit of God are the ones who are truly circumcised.

Text: Philippians 3:2-3, Colossians 2:10-12

Introduction: In Christ, we experience a spiritual transformation that transcends physical rituals. Understanding this spiritual circumcision is essential for living in the fullness of our identity in Him.

Study:

1. True Circumcision by the Spirit:
   Our true identity comes from our relationship with Christ, not from external rituals or human efforts. The spiritual circumcision signifies the cutting away of our sinful nature, allowing us to live for God. (Colossians 2:10-12)
2. Completeness in Christ:
   Through our union with Christ, we are made complete and filled with His fullness. This completeness empowers us to navigate life with confidence and purpose, relying on His strength. (Ephesians 3:19)
3. Faith in Christ’s Work:
   Our understanding of what Jesus accomplished empowers our faith and actions in our Christian walk. Trusting in His resurrection power enables us to live according to God’s will and purpose. (Romans 6:4)

Conclusion:
Being “circumcised by Christ” means embracing our new identity and the transformation He brings. By recognizing our completeness in Him and relying on His work, we can confidently live out our faith and fulfill God’s purpose in our lives. Let us rejoice in this truth and encourage one another in our spiritual journey.
