The MESSAGE:

At the very beginning, God created man in His own image as Genesis 1:27 records. Again, the Bible in Genesis 1:31 tells us that God saw everything that he made, and, behold, it was very good. Yes, it was indeed all good and well until satan entered to corrupt and sow the seed of disobedience in man. Through deception, satan defeated the natural human senses which still remain the avenue through which sinful habits gain access to keep man in bondage, except for those who have obtained redemption through the sacrifice of Jesus for their freedom from satanic domination and bondage.

Man lost his inheritance (Garden of Eden) when he fell into sin (Genesis 3:23-24). The devil is recognised as the prince of this world (John 14:30). His stock in trade is SIN and he propagates it in the lives of men through temptation and deceit. The devil tempted Jesus (Matthew 4:2-11), asking Him to turn stones into bread to satisfy His hunger, display a bit of ego by jumping down from a great height, and to acquire some of the good things of this world for Himself. In the same vein, the devil still tempts man over life’s needs and all other things in life. He makes man lust after food/drink, houses, cloths and fashion, cars, sexual satisfaction, position and power, money, etc. James 1:12 declares that “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.” Unfortunately, James 1:14-15 says: “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”

Man by nature is sinful through inheritance (i.e., from bloodline) and personally sinful through lust. Sin in man manifests as pride, greed, stealing, lying, adultery, fornication, immorality, inordinate affections, uncleanness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, backbiting, rivalry, anger/wrath, strife, murder, envy, jealousy, drunkenness, murder and all other works of the flesh listed in Galatians 5:19-21. Lust can be very pushy, powerful and damaging, except where caution is applied through divine strength and grace. King David, for example, lusted after Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah to the extent of killing the man though he was one of the valiant men who assisted and straightened him when he was hiding and running in the wilderness from the pursuit of King Saul.

Outside divine help, man is helpless and bound to crumble before sin. The power of sin over man could be so strong as to enslave and put man in bondage and sometimes, the devil himself assigns principal demons to monitor and supervise sinful habits and actions in humans. That is why man can be so sinful to do weird things such as incest, homosexuality, bestiality, child abuse, murder, infidelity, theft, kidnapping, drug abuse, etc. The agenda of satan (the accurser of brethren) as recorded in John 10:10 is clear, “The thief cometh not but for to steal, and kill, and to destroy…”

The blood of Jesus Christ shall deliver you from every condemnation.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

1. Powers manipulating my life into sin, your end is now, die, in the name of Jesus.
2. My life, you shall not be a toy in the hands of satan, in the name of Jesus.
3. Every seed of destruction in my life, come out and die, in the name of Jesus.
   EVENING
4. My attitude, my behaviour, you will not take me to hell fire, in the name of Jesus.
5. Ancestral sin, accusing me before God, receive the blood of Jesus and shut up forever, in the name of Jesus.
6. Every garment of sin upon my life, catch fire and burn to ashes, in the name of Jesus.
7. Blood of Jesus, purge and cleanse my life from every filthiness, in the name of Jesus.
