MFM Devotional For Today 2024 MESSAGE:
Many years back, I went to a General Hospital to pray for a sister at the instance of her brother. I noticed that it was like a hospice where the terminally ill are cared for until they die. This sister had not stood up from bed in three weeks and her initial ’amen’ responses to my prayers were faint, but they gradually grew more audible.
Meanwhile, about six other patients in the ward joined the sister in the ’amens’. Before the end of the prayer session, this sister and several other patients were able to stand up from bed. I had gone there to pray for one person but the awesome power of God was reaching those around her. Awesomeness refers to the amazing, excellent, wonderful, breath-taking, incredible, impressive, magnificent, powerful, fascinating deeds of God. We need to key into this power and see God in action. Prayer is the only force that the forces of darkness cannot contend with. Let me list just a few of the numerous benefits of prayer for the child of God: It is worship and praise for your Benefactor. It is the best means of hearing God speak. It brings peace from knowing that you have handed your problems over to the One who can resolve them. Besides, praying assures us that somebody greater than the problem is in charge. It prevents some diseases when we take stress oil life. Daily fellowship with God through prayer gives empowerment to overcome temptation. Regular fellowship with the Holy Spirit builds us up spiritually and gives us boldness in taking life’s decisions.
Prayer moves the hand of God who rules the universe. Those who can pray do not need to worry. Prayer opens the storehouses of God. Prayer brings the God of all possibilities into situations and changes them for good. Beloved, it is time to join the bandwagon of worshippers who fellowship daily with Jehovah. Taste and see that the Lord is good.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- I release my body, soul and spirit from all evil domination and control that will keep me away from prayer, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, rekindle the fire on my prayer altar, in the name of Jesus.
- I declare that prayer will not fail in my life and destiny, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Holy Spirit, as I go to sleep, reveal to me anything hidden in my life that will diminish my love for my God, and kill it, in the name of Jesus.
- Battles and challenges in my life, bow to the force of prayer, in the name of Jesus.
- I command mountain of (indebtedness, sickness, barrenness, failure) in my life to move and be cast into the sea, in the name of Jesus.
- I command every good door the enemy has Closed against me to open by fire, in the name of Jesus.
