LESSON AIM: The children will put their trust in the Holy Spirit for guidance.

CHILD-RELATED TRUTH: Jesus will guide you through the Holy Spirit

INTRODUCTION:
Children! We know that the Bible is the Word of God, let us look into what the Bible means to us. Today, we will discover that the Holy Spirit who gave inspiration to men to write the Bible is our guide. When your family goes on a trip to a strange place, it is important to have some kind of guide to know where to go. What would they use for that? (give room for answers). Right a map, A map is a guide. Just as you need a map to get to your vacation spot, You need to follow the directive of the Holy Spirit to live a Godly life. Long Time ago a man followed the directive of the Holy Spirit to get a wife for his master’s son

PROGRESSION OF EVENT: GENESIS 24

  1. Isaac the son of Abraham and Sarah was ready to be married
  2. Abraham wanted a wife from his father’s
home. He didn’t want a wife from the country they were living in at the time because they did not worship God
  3. Abraham sent his faithful servant back to his father’s homeland to find a wife for Isaac.

So the servant took with him 10 camels loaded down with fun things to eat and fun things to wear.
While he was on his way there the servant began to worry about how he would know the right girl to choose as a bride for Isaac.
Finally, the servant arrived at the place where Abraham’s family lived, and it was the time of day that the young girls came to the well to get water for their families.
The servant asked God for this sign, that the girl God wanted for Isaac would give him a drink of water, and then she would offer to water all of his camels too.
A girl named Rebekah came to the well to get water and the servant asked her for a drink of water.
She gave him a drink and then she offered to draw water for all of his camels to have a drink as well.

GOSPEL CONNECTION: Abraham was very sure of God’s love and guidance. God loves and guides you in all things. God loves you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 3:31) that He sent His only begotten Son into the world to die for your sins. Jesus died on the cross shedding His life-blood for the forgiveness of your sins. Jesus died, was buried, and rose again on the third day. When you put your trust in Jesus, He will guide you in all thing.

CLIMAX: The servant praised God! He was happy because God had given him the sign he had asked for. Now he knew Rebekah was the girl God wanted for Isaac

CONCLUSION: The servant found out that Rebekah was from Abraham’s father’s family and they agreed to let Rebecca follow him back. When they arrived home at Abraham’s house, Isaac took Rebekah as his bride and loved her very much, she was just the right one

CHALLENGE: For you, a child who has Jesus living in your heart, the Holy Spirit will guide you in the things you seek to understand just like Abraham’s servant for God’s guidance
in leading him to Abraham’s relatives. I encourage you to call on the Holy Spirit, the Reminder, the Explainer, the Guide to all truth. to assist you in accurately understanding God’s ways.
Studying the word of God will help your heart to seek the truth and guide you in all things. Today, you can depend on the Holy Spirit to guide you in choosing the right friends, etc

INVITATION: In Proverbs 3:5-6, the Lord wants you to put your trust in Him, and the only way to do that is to believe in the Lord Jesus and be saved (John 3:17).
