25. of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,
26. the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints.
27. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
28. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
29. To this [end] I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

THE MESSAGE:

Paul willingly accepts the obligation to proclaim Christ and to suffer for Him.He became a minister to preach the gospel to every creature according to the stewardship from God to fulfil the word of God. Paul views himself as a divinely chosen administrator whose work was to make the word of God fully known. The mystery which refers to God’s unfolding plan for the world and for redemption through the Messiah (4:3; Ephesians 1:9) was hidden for ages and revealed by God. A mystery is a spiritual truth which was once hidden, but is now revealed and which without special revelation, would have remained unknown (Romans 16:25-26).

At the heart of the mystery is the amazing result of the New Covenant which is “Christ in you the hope of glory” (verse 27). God himself in the person of Christ will be directly and personally present in the lives of His people. His presence will assure them of a future life with Him when He returns. Paul’s responsibility was to make the word of God fully known. We also are to share the gospel. We need to labour, struggle and toil to make other believers grow and mature in Christ. Are you involved?

PRAYER: Oh God, make me an instrument of Yours to proclaim, preach and teach the gospel to others so that they may grow unto full stature in Christ. Amen!
