Memorise: That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6

Bible Reading: John 3:5-6

  1. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
  2. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

MESSAGE:

If you are born again, it will show in all areas of your life. It will affect your desires, priorities, goals and relationships. In John 3:6, Jesus says That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Every human being experiences a fleshy birth. Even if it were possible to enter your mother’s womb and be reborn, it will still be a fleshy biological birth. But there is a spiritual birth. It is when you take a trip to the womb of the Spirit and you are born a new creation.

One thing about this spiritual birth is that it will stir up intense hunger for spiritual things. Your sense of right and wrong will be sharpened and you will want to please God all the time.

You claim to be born again yet, you find it easy to tell lies. You claim to be born again yet, you don’t care about the things of God; you don’t study God’s word, pray, fast and listen to sermons. It is either you are saved or not.

There is no such thing as being partially saved. You can’t become born again and not have positive changes in your life. There will be obvious fruits of repentance in your life and character if you are truly born again.

Key Point

Think deep, are you truly born again?

Hymn: Take My Life, And Let It Be

  1. Take my life and let it be
    Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
    Take my moments and my days,
    Let them flow in ceaseless praise.
  2. Take my hands and let them move
    At the impulse of Thy love;
    Take my feet and let them be
    Swift and beautiful for Thee.
  3. Take my voice and let me sing
    Always, only for my King;
    Take my lips and let them be
    Filled with messages from Thee.
  4. Take my silver and my gold
    Not a mite would I withhold;
    Take my intellect and use
    Every power as Thou shalt choose.
  5. Take my will and make it
    Thine It shall be no longer mine;
    Take my heart, it is Thine own
    It shall be Thy royal throne.
  6. Take my love, my Lord, I pour
    At Thy feet its treasure store.
    Take myself and I will be
    Ever, only, all for Thee.
