CAST ALL YOUR CARES UPON HIM

“Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 KJV

Do you know that medical science has proven that a high percentage of diseases are stress related? When you are stressed up, your body will react, because in the first place, it is not supposed to be stressed up. Today’s passage says, “Casting all your care upon the Lord for he careth for you.” In other words, throw it there and walk away.

How do you survive in these hard times? How can you survive if you don’t guard your heart in today’s world? How do you explain a situation where the people who have been assigned with keeping standards so as to preserve people’s lives are collecting bribes? How do you survive if God does not help you? How do you survive in a place where people who are supposed to be pharmacists are selling fake drugs? It’s so bad that someone with an ailment would have been swallowing chalk without his or her knowledge.

The truth is that Nigeria has some of the finest doctors in the world, but they are operating in a very wrong environment. So when you see me mad at the way things are done in Nigeria, some very religious people may not understand. When you see me angry at certain things and say, “those for death will die, those for prison will go to prison and those for exile will go on exile, you don’t understand where I am coming from! Do you know how many people have died as a result of corrupt practices? Yet some of the perpetuators are walking about freely. So you see, there is so much happening around us to create stress. But the Word of God says to His children: “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved” (Psalms 55:22 KJV).

Sickness and disease will not cut short your life. Every orchestration of the wicked against your destiny shall not come to pass. The Lord will fight for you and you shall hold your peace.
